Why validate inside Telnyx

Telnyx users tend to be telecom-savvy and already understand LRNs and OCNs. LookupLab returns those routing fields on every phone lookup, and adds email and IP validation that Telnyx does not offer, so a Telnyx-based platform can score a whole signup in one place.

Use it in the same spot you would use any lookup: before a message is sent or a call is placed.

Setup

1. Call the LookupLab phone endpoint before your Telnyx messaging or call control request.
2. Branch on line_type and valid.
3. Use data.lrn and data.ocn for routing decisions if you run your own routing.
4. Add the email and IP endpoints to score signups end to end.

Phone validation is not consent, ownership verification or guaranteed delivery. Email syntax and MX checks establish domain-level signals, not proof that a particular mailbox exists.
