Slack phone and email validation
Post lookup results into Slack for support and fraud teams, or trigger a lookup from a slash command via your automation tool.
Why validate inside Slack
Support and trust teams often paste a suspicious phone number or email into a channel and ask if anyone can check it. Wiring a workflow that runs the lookup and posts the result turns that into a ten-second answer.
The simplest build is a Zapier or Make scenario triggered by a Slack message in a specific channel, calling LookupLab and replying in thread.
Setup
- Create a channel such as #lookups.
- In Zapier or Make, trigger on New message in that channel.
- Extract the number, email or IP with a formatter step and call the matching LookupLab endpoint.
- Reply in thread with valid, line type, carrier, or the email and IP flags.
What teams build with it
- Fraud desk checks on suspicious orders.
- Support agents verifying a caller's number.
- Sales asking whether a lead's number is a mobile before calling.

Is there a Slack app?
Not yet. The Zapier or Make route works on any Slack plan that allows integrations.
